Hello! So glad you happened upon my blog!

Let me introduce myself. I am a mom of eight and a grandma of seven….and counting! I certainly hope so anyway! After homeschooling for 26 years, we have put our youngest in school. Why abandon the movement after so long….soccer, of course!

I want to let you know that the names I use for my kids are not their given names.  I asked them each to come up with a blog nickname to protect their identity.  That’s right…the names have been changed to protect the innocent.  Or at least, to protect them!

I love the mountains and the beach, reading, crocheting, hiking, and making our house into a home. Being a firm believer in helping others navigate the paths I’ve already traveled, I hope to offer some encouragement and hope to you. Hopefully add a bit of light to your day!

So, grab a cup of tea…or coffee, pull up a rocking chair, and join me on my front porch!
